Stokes County Schools has implemented a new check-in and check-out system at Nancy Reynolds. The installation was completed today, and the new process begins tomorrow, Wednesday, December 10.
The check-in and check-out procedures will remain the same with one important addition: all visitors and anyone checking out a student must bring a valid driver's license for scanning. This applies to all school visits and student pickups.
If you have questions about the new system or need assistance with the process, please don't hesitate to ask. We're here to help ensure a smooth transition to this updated security measure.

Due to the winter weather advisory and forecast for Monday, Stokes County Schools will operate on a remote learning day on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Students should follow the remote learning plans provided by their teachers. If you have questions about expectations or assignments, please contact your child’s teacher or school principal for guidance. Staff should refer to communication from their supervisors regarding reporting expectations.
The Board of Education meeting scheduled for tomorrow night will be rescheduled. When a new date is determined, an announcement will be made.
Thank you for your flexibility and continued support of our students. Please stay safe and warm as this weather system moves through our area.

Today is a Remote Learning Day. Teachers sent home work yesterday that your child should complete today. Teachers should have also shared office hours where they are available to assist you should you need help with assignments or have questions.

Many of you made donations for our First Quarter Dragon Dollar Store. Thank you very much for your generosity!
It is hard to believe it, but we are rapidly approaching our second quarter store. Our Dragon Dollar Store for second quarter will be held on January 13. After the first store, our inventory is VERY LOW. We have right at 200 students this year. Everyone earned a lot of Dojo points for first quarter, which meant they had many dragon dollars to spend at our store. So, we are in need of items for students to purchase with their hard-earned Dragon Dollars.
As you are cleaning out your child's space in preparation for the items they'll receive throughout the holiday season, please consider donating items to our store. If the item is still in good condition, but just isn't getting the attention is once did in your home, I'm confident that we can find it a new home through our store. If you happen to find an excellent deal on some kid-friendly items as you're shopping over the next few weeks, please consider purchasing them and making a donation to our store.
And, even if you're unable to make a donation, please let your friends and family know that we're looking for some things for Dragon Dollar Store.
Thank you for sharing your children with us each day. It is a joy to spend our days working with them! And, thank you in advance for your generosity.
Students generally like:
Noisy toys
Large stuffed animals
Keychains
Candy
Snacks
Small games
Squishy or sticky things
Slime
Balls
We have also created an Amazon Wish List with more ideas:

Items can be given to Ms. Kelly in the office, or Mrs. Moore in the Media Center.
Thank you!
