Individual Student Reports for State Assessments - Scores Available in PowerSchool Parent Portal
An Individual Student Report (ISR) of your student's NC Standardized assessment is available in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. To view electronic copies of the ISR in PowerSchool, log into PowerSchool through a web browser. Once on the website, click on State Test Reports in the left-hand menu bar. At this time, the ISR may not be viewable on the PowerSchool app for SmartDevices.
Any standardized test score is a single indicator of student performance and one piece of his or her educational picture. Your student’s test score should be considered along with all other information provided throughout the school year. If you need to create a Parent Portal account, please contact the school data manager for assistance. If you would prefer to get a hardcopy of the report for your student, please reach out to the school with your request.

WOW!! Book Fair was a Tremendous Success!!
Thank you all for your support in joining us for lunch and making purchases for your child at our Book Fair.
Thank you also for being patient with the slowness of checkout as the register and scanner weren't working their best.
We will be able to purchase roughly $1200 worth of quality books for our library with the proceeds from this fair! How EXCITING!!
Thank you again!

Our Dragons competed in the North District Battle of the Books Competition today. We were met with fierce competition and didn't take home the blue ribbon, but we had a great time anyway.
After battle, we had a celebration with our new friends from Sandy Ridge and Lawsonville , many of whom we will be able to learn with next year either at Piney Grove or in Dragon Country!

Kindergarten Registration is NEXT WEEK! Registration is from 8am-11am on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Parents of rising Kindergarten students should call the NRES Office to schedule an appointment.

Last week, we had great fun for Read Across America Week. Here is a video of some photographs captured during our week.

1-2-3-4 We Declare a Penny WAR!!
March 3-13, 2024
Class vs. Class...
Each class has a jug to drop pennies in between March 4th and 13th. Each penny is worth one point, and the class with the most points wins.
BUT
Classes can sabotage each other and try to deduct points by dropping any silver coin into the jug.

Abraham Lincoln visited Dragon Country Today. Our fourth and fifth graders stepped back in time to November of 1863 where they visited with Mr. Lincoln to learn a little about his life.
Thank you to Mr. Peter Reynolds, the Stokes County Arts Council, and Mrs. Collins for making this visit possible.
